Charles Harry Sherman, 76, 1212 East State, died Tuesday morning, January 3, 1967, at a Boise nursing home.
Born Aug 3, 1890 in Inwood, Iowa, he married Carolyn H. Mak on Nov 26, 1914, in Rock Rapids, Iowa. They came to Idaho in June of 1926, and Mr. Sherman worked for many years as a mechanic for Randal-Dodd and Boise Buick. He was a captain of the Boise Police Department for 13 years and was a used car salesman for Bosse Nash and Larry Barnes Chevrolet, retiring 12 years ago. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and Ada Lodge No. 3, IOOF.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carolyn H. Sherman of Boise; two sons, Charles W. Sherman of Boise and Kenneth J. Sherman of Seattle, Wash; three daughters, Mrs. Iva E. Carpenter and Mrs. Helen Olson, both of Boise, and Mrs. Harriet M. Rich of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Amy Dodds of Boise and Mrs. Iva Benedict of Madison, S.D.; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers Frank, Albert and Fred Sherman.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Summers Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Frank L. Rearick, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Terrace Lawn.
Pallbearers will be Sam Allaway, Rex Walters, Fred Carey, James Brandon, William Oliver and Walter Rowlett.
