Susie M. Holland, 94, of Des Moines, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1993 at her home at St. Wesley Acres of natural causes.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 27 at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa. The Rev. David Clark of Grace United Methodist Church conducted the graveside service.

She was born near Milton, living in Chariton from 1920 until moving to Des Moines in 1971. She was a school teacher in Chariton elementary schools, retiring in 1969. She was active in the Grace United Methodist Church and the Retired Teachers' Association.

Survivors include a nephew, C. Robert Holland of Altoona, and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at St. Wesley Acres.

Arrangements were made by Dunn's Funeral Home of Des Moines.
