Services for Katherine M. Ogden, 93, will be Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Memorials are requested to the Lucas County Humane Society.

Katherine passed away January 8, 2012. She is survived by her son, Harold "Bud" (Verla) Repp; daughter, Joanne Schrader.

OBITUARY

KATHERINE MAXINE OGDEN

Katherine Maxine (Smith) Ogden was born November 21, 1918 in Valley Junction, Iowa to William and Pearl (Hendrickson) Smith. She attended school in Chariton and Melcher.

Katherine married Brandon Repp on October 12, 1933. They were blessed with three children: Harold, Joanne and Karen.

Katherine was active in the United Brethren Church and Ladies Aid. She enjoyed dancing with friends and shopping and looking for bargains. She was a hard worker, loved her pets, especially her cats. Most of all she really enjoyed her early travels with her young children.

Katherine passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Lucas County Health Center.

She is survived by her son, Harold "Bud" (Verla) Repp of Mt. Ayr; daughter, Joanne Shrader of Chariton; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Brandon Repp and Leonard Ogden; daughter, Karen Ripperger; grandson, Michael Shrader; brother, Harold, and sister, Alta.
