Services for Vera, age 92 will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends before the service beginning at 9 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials are requested to the Norwood Community Center. Vera passed November 18, 2011. She is survived by her sons: Richard (Connie) Marker and Rex Marker; grandchildren: Lorie, Lucy, Todd, and John; 9 great grandchildren; siblings: Flossie (Kenneth) Baker, John Penick, and Jim (Jean) Penick. She was preceded in death by her husbands: John Marker in 1951 and Bert Doherty in 1976; siblings: Lela Triggs, Mildred Clark, Thelma Haltom, Owen Penick, Bob Penick, and Glen Penick; and sister-in-law, Patricia Marker.
