Jerry D. Donahue, 78, of Lucas, passed away June 21, 2019 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. The celebration of life will provide a time of visiting, fellowship, and a luncheon. No other services are planned at this time.
Jerry is survived by his friend and companion, Shirley Archer of Lucas; his 4 sons and their families: Jerry (David) Donahue II, Michael Donahue, Chad Donahue, and Corey Donahue; Shirley's daughter, Darlene Archer; half-sister, Alice Good; brother-in-law, Bill Young; nieces: Janis, Brenda, and Shawndra; and nephews: Tracy, Dennis, and Lance. He was preceded in death by his parents: Tom Donahue, Marietta Donahue Page (Rouse), and Lester Page; sister, Dorothy Stearns; brother, Jimmy Donahue; half-sister, Betty Young; and nephew, Gary Glasscock.
