Sarah Lou Angstead, 64, died Friday, December 30, 1960 at the Yocom Hospital, due to complications of Colon Cancer. She had been a patient there four days. For the past five years, she had been employed at the Miley Funeral Home.

She is survived by six children; Mrs. Iris Davenport of Omaha, Mrs. Irene Williams of Aurora, IL, Forrest E. of Rockford, IL, Mrs. Gay Steinbach of Chariton, Mrs. Fay Olson of Des Moines, and Mrs. Mary Jane Smith of Knoxville; two sisters, Icel E. Anderson of Duluth, MN, and Alberta M. Miller of Melcher; and five brothers, Walter Jay of San Francisco, CA, Harold Ray of Waterloo, IA, Clarence Arthur of Waterloo, IA, and Roy Addison of Twain Harte, CA and Joseph Pearl of Twentynine Palms, CA, and Herbert Robert.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Violet Mae and her son, PFC Mahlon B. Angstead in Germany WWII, 1944.

Arrangements made by Miley Funeral Home

Interment was at the Chariton Cemetery.
