SADILLA MYRL, little daughter of MR. and MRS. ALLEN WHITCOMB, was born
January 1, 1905, and passed away November 8, 1907, at the age of two years,
ten months and seven days. How true it is in this instance, "Swift to it's
close ebbs out life's little day;" for in a few brief hours a strong and
happy child at her play was beyond the reach of mortals. Taking matches out
into the yard the little girl's clothing caught fire and before it was known
or help could come, she was burned so badly that she died in a very short
time. The heart stricken parents have the deepest sympathy of the entire
community.

The funeral services were conducted on Sunday morning by Rev. J.H. Yaggy,
leaving the house at 9:45 after song and prayer; and the services at the
church were held at 10:30. The scripture read was Jno. 14: 1-14, the text
was found in Isa. 53:4. The remains were then taken to the Chariton
Cemetery where interment was made.
