MRS. KATIE SANDERS MASON died at her home at Boone, Ia., Saturday, after an
illness of only a few weeks with quick consumption. She was the wife of
LUCIAN MASON, and formerly resided in Chariton. The remains were brought to
this city, Monday, to the home of her aunt, MRS. GEORGE KING, and taken to
New York Tuesday for burial. She was 21 years and 7 months old at the time
of her death. She leaves a six weeks' old baby daughter, beside her husband
and many relatives and friends who mourn her untimely death.
