AQUILLA KERN was born in Jackson County, Indiana, November 18, 1854. In the
year 1865, he came with his parents to Lucas county, Iowa. In 1877, he was
married in Russell to MELISSA ROSE. To this union one child, GRACE, was
born. His wife died in December, 1896. He was married again to MRS. EVA
METZGAR, who died in June, 1904. His death occurred January 15, 1907. He
is survived by one child, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Thursday afternoon,
conducted by the Rev. Herrington and interment made in the Russell Cemetery.
The heartfelt sympathy goes out to the stricken family in this sad hour.
