The friends of MR. and MRS. E.S. WELLS are grieved to learn of the death of
their little son, CLAY, which occurred on Friday, after an illness of only
four days, of pneumonia. The funeral was held from the family home Sunday,
at 2:00 p.m., Rev. F.B. Palmer having charge of the ceremonies and preaching
the sermon. On this day the little one would have been two years and six
months of age. CLAY was the youngest of six children, four surviving, the
one just older than him being called a couple of years since. MR. and MRS.
WELLS feel keenly the desolation of their home. After these trials the
world never seems as before, an experience testified to by those who have
passed through bereavement, though time brings its consolation.

"Leaves have their time to fall

And wither at the north wind's breath --

And stars to set -- but all --

Thou hast all seasons for thine own --

Oh Death."
