EVA MAY GRAVES, daughter of MR. and MRS. W.E. GRAVES was born in Chariton
March 13, 1879 and died at her home in this city Dec. 28, 1906, at the age
of 27 years, 9 months and fifteen days, after an illness of only a few days
with pneumonia. She was united in marriage to G. CLARENCE BLAKE, August 7,
1901. To this union were born two children, CHARLES FREDRIC and ELSIE
LOUISE.

She had spent her entire life in the city, graduating from the Chariton High
School in May, 1898. Her friends were numbered by her acquaintances, and
her untimely death has cast a gloom over the entire community. She leaves a
husband, two children, mother and two brothers to mourn the loss of one who
was dear to them by Nature's ties. The sympathies of the community are
extended to them in this sad hour of trial.

Funeral services were conducted at the home on Monday afternoon, Dec. 31 at
2:30 by Rev. Hakes of St. Andrews and Rev. Evans of the M.E. Church and
interment made in Chariton Cemetery.
