Flossie Mae Davis was born near Hedrick, Wapello county, Iowa, on March 7, 1893, and died at the Ottumwa hospital on April 26, 1920. When six years old she moved to Lucas county with her parents, where she has resided ever since.
She was married to Charles West June 29, 1919. She united with the United Brethren church three years ago and has lived a consistent Christian life. She was an active and faithful worker in the Sunday school for many years.
She leaves her husband, mother [Mary Jane Miller Davis] and brother [John Henry Davis] to mourn her loss. Her father [Joseph Flint Davis] died four years ago. Her sudden death comes as a shock to her many friends.
The funeral services on Tuesday at the United Brethren church were conducted by the Rev. E. W. Curtis, assisted by Rev. H. M. Hulse. Interment was in the Chariton cemetery.
