Clifton Henry Scott
DIED, on Tuesday, June l9th, of consumption, at the home of his parents, 4 miles west of Terre Haute, CLIFTON, son of CHARLES and RACHEL SCOTT, in the nineteenth year of his age. This young man, who has been called away in the bright morning of life, was one whom everybody that knew him, loved and respected. His kind and gentle disposition won for him friends wherever he went. He expressed his willingness to die and his last words were that he was happy.
His remains were brought to the Hamilton Cemetery for burial on
Wednesday. REV. G.E. MITCHELL, of Davis City, preached his funeral at the grave to a large and sympathetic audience. Thus, one by one, the chairs stand vacant by those we love so well, and one by one, the seats are filling in our Father's home above.
