Funeral services for Clell Whitlatch, who died Nov. 19, were held Nov. 23 at Chariton with Pastor Delbert A. Hobbs and Rev. Paul Brooks officiating. Burial was in the Chariton cemetery.

Malcolm McClellan, son of A. V. and Orpha Whitlatch, was born June 12. 1900. He was united in marriage to Ellen Kathryn Ewald on Sept. 24, 1927 and made their home on a farm. He served on the Lucas County Board of Supervisors for 12 years and was member of Chariton Bible Church. His wife died in 1967.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Edith Klick of Independence, Mo.; Mrs. Alyce Dolan of Jacksonville. Fla., Mrs. Clella Swarthout of Chariton, and Mrs. Merrie Ellen Sidles of Canoga Park, Calif.; one son, Gary M. of Russell; one sister Mrs. Cleta Wright of Des Moines; one brother, Ancil of Chariton and 14 grandchildren.
