Funeral services for Thomas White, who died at his home on Oct. 4, were held Oct. 6 at Chariton with Rev. L. W. Mendenhall officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery near Russell.

Thomas O., son of Benjamin and Sarah White, was born Aug. 16, 1894 and was a lifetime resident of Lucas County, where he was a farmer. On Dec. 24, 1917 he was united in marriage to Olga Carlson, who died in 1931. In 1933, he was married to Ida Carlson who died in 1969. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, and infant daughter and a grandson. He was an active member of the Bethel Church and Sunday school.

Surviving are four sons, Dale at home, Dr. T. C. White of Flint Mich., Dean of Chariton, and David of Des Moines; three daughters, Mrs. Murray (Lucille) Fune and Mrs. Larry (Janet) Clark of Chariton, and Mrs. Floyd (Helen) Coulson of Russell and eleven grandchildren.
