Francis M. Pfrimmer

WESLACO, TX.-Francis M. Pfrimmer, 85, passed away June 2, 2011 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born on February 17, 1926 in Lucas, Iowa to Saxon and Edna Roe Pfrimmer.

Upon graduating from Norwood High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. He also served as Plant Manager at Pioneer Hi-Bred International for 42 years and established the Pioneer plant in Weslaco. Some of his hobbies included bowling and fishing.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albert and Bob Pfrimmer; and one sister, Macel Marie Maxwell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Pfrimmer of Weslaco; his sons, Michael Pfrimmer of San Antonio and Pastor Patrick (Esther) Pfrimmer of Crestview, FL; and daughter, Gladys Pfrimmer (John) McKenna of Harlingen. Also surviving are his grandchildren, John and Kathy McKenna of Harlingen, Heather, Jennifer and Nathan Pfrimmer of Florida; and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 4pm to 7pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 10am at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel in Weslaco. Officiating the service will be his son, Pastor Patrick Pfrimmer of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Crestview, FL. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Arrangements are under the direction of McCaleb Funeral Home of Weslaco.
