Services Today For E. L. Parsons

Everett L. Parsons, 68, of Chariton, died following a heart attack he suffered at his home Friday.
He worked as a body and fender man for over 35 years at Johnston Motors and Snyder Motor and was later self employed. He was an avid sportsman and trap shooter and was a member of the American Legion, the National Rifle Association, Chariton Eagles Club, and the Mahaska Chapter of Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors are two sons, Everett James of Louisville, Colo., and Lewis Neil of Newton; a stepson Phillip Kumm of Great Falls, Mont.; Three daughters Barbara Hixon of Chartion, Pat Majava of Thornton, Colo., and Virginia Irene Carnahan of Dallas; and a brother, Phillip Paul of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. this morning (Tuesday) at the Fielding Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Chariton cemetery.
