Services for Fred Curtis "Curt" Lane, will be Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made to the Chariton Church of the Nazarene, 12th and Braden, Chariton, IA 50049. Online condolences may be left at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com.

Fred Curtis "Curt" Lane of Chariton, IA entered eternity to be with his heavenly Father on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the age of 62.

Curt was preceded in death by his father, Fred Clay Lane, and his mother, Winifred Lane. Curt is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Betty-Jo Lane, their daughter Amy (Kent) Curfman of Liberty, MO, and son Perry (Erin) Lane of Chariton, IA. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Katie Morriss and JC Curfman, and Peyton, Preston, and Ellie Lane. Curt was anticipating the birth of another granddaughter in January.
