1959 OBITUARY

HARRIET PRICE CONNER

Harriet Price Conner, third eldest daughter of nine children of Miles and
Emaline Price, was born in McDonnough County, Ill, Oct. 12, 1868. The Price
family moved to the Russell vicinity in 1878 where Mrs. Conner spent the
remainder of her life, with the exception of 12 years on a homestead in
South Dakota. She was married to William Mason Conner in May of 1890 and
they observed their 69th anniversary in May of this year. She devoted her
entire life to the raising of her family of six children, five of whom
survive her. Age and failing health had confined her to her home for
several years until April of this year when she was taken to the O'Donnell
Rest Home for care. She departed this sojourn August 25, 1959, at the age
of 90 years, 10 months and 13 days. She leaves her husband, Will, five
sons, Albert of Huron, S. Dak; Orville of Palo Alto, Calif.; Lawrence of
Roseville, Calif.; and Ansel of Northwood, IA; 11 grandchildren 22
great-grandchildren, her sister, Ida Denison, and a brother, Asa, Russell,
nieces, nephews and neighborhood friends. Funeral services were held in the
Woodman Funeral Home Friday, August 28, at 2pm., conducted by the Rev. A.E.
Beals. Interment was in the Russell Cemetery.
