Funeral Friday for Augusta Larson, Longtime Sac ResidenFuneral services
for Augusta Larson, 72 of Sac City were held Friday, October 27, at
Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City with Rev. James Dendler
officiating. Larry Hecht, accompanied by Mrs. Dean Marshall, provided
music for the services. Flowers were cared for by Mesdames Duane Fort,
Richard Martin, Wm. Musselman and Marjo Florist.

Attendants were Keith Hines, Hubert Perry, Robert Martin, Gerald Hines,
Richard Martin and William Musselman. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Augusta Larson, the daughter of Josiah and Eliza Fox Smith, was born at
Chariton, Iowa on June 8, 1900. She passed away at the Loring Hospital
on October 24, following a severe stroke.

Early in childhood, Augusta moved with her parents to Red Oak, Iowa
where she attended high school. On December 9, 1921, Raymond C. Larson
and Augusta were united in marriage in Sioux City. Mrs. Larson has
lived in Sac City for 51 years where she has been a member of the United
Methodist Church.

Her husband, Raymond, preceded her in death in January, 1970. She is
survived by her daughter Twyla, Mrs. Robert King, a son-in-law, Robert
King; two grandsons, Robert Scott King now serving with the U.S. Army in
Germany and Raymond Michael King, a student at ISU. Two sisters and two
brothers also survive: Ethel Taylor of Sheridan, Wyo.; Twyla Mae White
of Spokane, Wash., Bryan Smith of Morecroft, Wyo. And Jack Smith of
Portland, Ore. A large nunber of Nieces and Nephews also survived.
