Cora Edna Downard daughter of Josiah and Sarah Smith was born in Lucas
County, Iowa, on November 11, 1879 and departed from this life on
December 19, 1955 at the age of 76 years.

On December 21, 1899 she was united in marriage to Frank B. Downard, who
preceded her in death on September 24, 1935.

To this union were born five children, Clell of Russell, Lester Everett
who also preceded his mother in death in 1933, Iceal Florence Bailie of
Olympia, Washington, Mrs. Eva Hubbell of Des Moines and Herbert Tarvin
of Eureka, California.

She became a member of the Russell Presbyterian church on March 27, 1921.

Besides the immediate family she leaves to mourn her death nine
grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Burial was made in the Russell cemetery.
