MRS. PETTY BURIED HERE THIS AFTERNOON. Died in Chariton... Martha M. WHITMORE was born in West Rupert, Va., June 17, 1840. When quite small she moved to Wallingford, Vt., where she grew to womanhood. With a girl friend, she came west to Geneseo, Ill., to teach school, and while there met Leander PETTY to whom she was married June __, 1866. To them a son and a daughter, Don C. of Denver and Mrs. Vermont JUNKIN of this city. Three stepsons are also living.....
