The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, April 29, 1909

A quiet but pretty wedding occurred at the Catholic Priory, Wednesday
evening at eight o'clock. The contracting parties were ANNA AUGUSTA LEINEN
and FRANKLIN MILLER. The ceremony was said by Rev. Father Edward Gaule in
the presence of the immediate relatives and a few intimate friends. They
were attended by the bride's brother, Leo Leinen and the groom's sister,
Miss Murl Miller, both of Kansas City, and P.L. Mennen, of Burlington, and
Miss Mayme Hambsch of Cedar Rapids. The bride was neatly gowned in a light
traveling suit with hat and gloves to match.

She is the only daughter of MR. and MRS. NICHOLAS LEINEN, of Chariton. She
is a talented young lady possessed of many admirable qualities. She is a
graduate of the Chariton High School in the class of 1901 and was for a
number of years one of Lucas County's successful teachers. She also took a
business course in Kansas City, and has been employed in a large music house
the past two years. MR. MILLER is a stranger to Chariton but is spoken of
as an exemplary young man with business tact and ability. He is proprietor
of a grocery store and bakery in Kansas City, where he has a home already
prepared for his bride.

An informal reception was given at the home of the bride's parents and a
wedding luncheon served. The many friends extend congratulations to the
happy young couple as they start on life's matrimonial sea, and the best
wishes are theirs for their future happiness and prosperity.
