Anderson – Davis
Sunday afternoon, April 15’ 1928, at two o’clock, Miss Fern L Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F Anderson, became the bride of Mr. Leonard A Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. John D Davis, both of Benton Township. The wedding took place at the home the bride’s parents, the impressive ring ceremony being used by Rev. George J Cornford, of Chariton, IA.Lohengrin’s Wedding March was rendered by Miss Audrey Arnold, of garden Grove, as the happy young couple entered the parlor, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and were pronounced husband and wife in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. A dainty two course luncheon was served by the bride’s mother and her sister Mrs. Opal Shanks.
The bride is a young lady of many excellent qualities, having taught school for the last two years in Lucas and Wayne Counties and is capable in every way of presiding over a home. They will reside on the Roscoe Smith farm in Warren Township and will be home to their many friends after April 20.
A large circle of friends will unite in extending congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Davis and in wishing them a long, happy, & prosperous wedded life.
