The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, December 5, 1907

A quiet wedding, which came in the way of a surprise, occurred at the home
of the bride's parents, MR. and MRS. J.H. COLLINS, on Wednesday evening,
November 27th, at 8:30 o'clock, the contracting parties being DAVE LUCE and
MISS KATHERINE COLLINS. The ceremony was performed by Rev. N. Evans, of the
M.E. Church, in the presence of the immediate relatives and a few intimate
friends. A dainty luncheon was served after the ceremony. The bride was
raised in this city, graduating from the high school in the class of '07.
She is a cultured and refined lady, and numbers her friends by her
acquaintances. The groom is a young man of good moral habits, and is
engaged in the railway mail service, with headquarters at Omaha. The happy
couple left on No. 1 for their new home at that place which had been
prepared by the groom, followed by the best wishes of a host of friends.
