The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, December 5, 1907

At the home of the bride's parents, MR. and MRS. JOHN BECKER, Sunday evening
at 5:30 o'clock, occurred the marriage of their daughter, DOROTHY, to
LAWRENCE MILLER of Indianola. Rev. N. Evans performed the ceremony in the
presence of the immediate families and a few intimate friends.

A three course dinner was served following the ceremony. The bride's dress
was white net over white, and she carried a bouquet of white carnations.
She is the oldest daughter of MR. and MRS. BECKER, and grew to womanhood in
this city. She is a graduate of the high school in the class of '04. She
has for some time been employed with the Chariton Dry Goods Company store,
and by her pleasant manner and obliging ways, has made many lasting friends.
She is modest and refined and is well fitted to preside over a home. The
groom is a son of Presiding Elder B.F. MILLER, of Indianola, who formerly
resided in Chariton. He graduated from the high school of this city, in
1903, and is now a member of the Senior class at Simpson College. He is a
young man of fine ability and strong character, and is worthy the bride he
has chosen. They departed Monday morning for Indianola, where they will
make their home. Their many friends wish them a long and happy life.
