TIMMONS - PETERSON MARRIAGE

The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, August 29, 1907

Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock, at the home of MR. and MRS. ELRIC
PETERSON, at Eldorado, Kansas, occurred the marriage of their daughter LEONA
to GEORGE B. TIMMONS. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. Hoch in the
presence of some thirty guests. The bridal party entered the parlor to the
strains of the wedding march from Lohengren played by Mr. Lionel Anderson.
The bride's gown was of white silk mull, the groom wore black.

The bride is the daughter of MR. and MRS. ELRIC PETERSON, she having grown
to womanhood in Chariton, Iowa, attended the public high school and the
Chariton Commercial College, also the Four C College at Des Moines. She is
an accomplished and refined young lady and loved by all her associates. The
groom is a son of MR. and MRS. E.E. TIMMONS, of Des Moines, Iowa. He was
raised in Chariton and is a perfect gentleman in every way. He is now
occupied as brakeman on the Santa Fe Railroad at Newton, Kansas. They will
be at home at Newton, Kansas, after Sept. 15, 1907.

Those from a distance who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. F. Williams
of Townanda, Kansas, Miss Leeta Phillips and Mrs. E.R. Hopkins and two
children of Chariton.
