MISS LAURA HESS has taken the position as deputy in the office of county
clerk, under G.F. Carpenter, owing to the resignation of her sister ANNA,
who was married last week to MR. ROY MOORE. MISS LAURA is pretty well
accustomed to the details of the office and will prove her efficiency as
time goes by.
