The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, August 29, 1907

MISS FERNE ELIZABETH SPRAGUE, daughter of MRS. ANNA SPRAGUE, and JOHN D.
CURTIS, were married Wednesday night at 8 o'clock at the home of MR. and MRS
JOHN WILSON, 1228 E. 2nd St., Ottumwa. Rev. Dasies of that place,
performed the ceremony. The bride was unattended. The wedding march was
executed in a most charming manner by MISS MARIE CURTIS, sister of the groom
and teacher in the Ottumwa Musical College. The bride was handsomely
gowned in a white broadcloth suit with duchess lace trimmings, and carried a
shower bouquet of white roses. The groom wore the conventional black.

The bride is well known here, having lived here all her life, she is a
graduate of Drake University, in music and has a host of friends. The groom
is a prominent young business man and needs no introduction. They will
return from Ottumwa, the last of this week, and will be at home to their
friends after September 28, in their home recently furnished by the groom.
