SOCIETY EVENTS:

A number of pre-nuptial events have taken place during the week in honor of
the wedding of MISS FAY CONNELL and WALDO BROWN, Wednesday evening. On
Thursday evening Theodore Stuart entertained at an evening party and 8 o
clock supper, Friday Miss Dorothy McCollough entertained the lady friends to
a 12 o'clock luncheon, a linen shower in the afternoon and a sumptuous
four-course dinner. The table decorations were white and yellow ribbons and
white carnations. In the evening the young gentlemen friends were invited,
and were employed at making aprons for the bride. Miss Edith Larimer
entertained Saturday afternoon at a picture shower, and a dainty five o
clock tea was served in two courses. Miss Carrie Custer was hostess at an
8:30 breakfast Monday morning, and in the evening Miss Grace Penick gave an
elegant six o'clock dinner, the table decoratinos being American Beauty
roses. In the evening the gentlemen were invited and ice cream and cake
served. Miss Lola Steele entertained at a five o'clock dinner Tuesday
evening at the Elba Cafe.
