F.P. Wright was looking over some papers in the Treasurer's office, Tuesday,
and found a will of the late JACOB LEMLEY, which had never been probated.
It was dated in 1884, drawn by J.C. Mitchell and witnessed by J.C. Mitchell
and J.A. Brown. Mr. Wright turned the document over to the county clerk.
The provisions of his will are as follows: To each of his children he gives
$1.00 except to the three younger, whom he gives all of his property, share
and share alike. MR. LEMLEY died a few months since and what effect the
finding of this document will have is now known. Since it was made, other
children have been born to him by a second wife and his property has been
conveyed by deeds, but to what extent the writer does not know. In the
absence of no later will it must be probated and is now on file in Clerk
Carpenter's office.
