LAST CHANCE NEWS:

DORA PEARCY of Last Chance, visited Tuesday with her brother, ARTHUR PEARCY.

MRS. ANDY GUINN of Cleveland is suffering with lagrippe.

MINNIE JONES spent Monday with MRS. HARRIET NEWSOME.

LEE IRVIN has been on the sick list but is now improving.

OLA and MAUD BEVARD, spent Wednesday afternoon with CLEMMA IRVIN.

MISS ANGIE LEECH of Cleveland is spending a few days in Chariton with MRS. DOUGLASS.

MRS. BILL ANDRE visited Thursday with MRS. HARRY ROBINSON.

GROVER, LULU and JOSIE POLLARD of Humeston spent Sunday with DORA PEARCY.

DELLA MCDANIELS went to Smyrna Sunday, where she will work for MRS. MYERS.

MANDA and MAUDE BEVARD were Humeston callers Friday.

CLAUDE CHAPMAN and wife of Nebraska, are visiting the former's parents, MR. and MRS. ROBERT CHAPMAN.

Born to JOE EIKELBERRY and wife, April 4th, an eight pound boy.

MRS. JACK IRVIN returned to her home Monday after spending a few days with her daughter, MRS. JULIA EIKELBERRY of Humeston.

A very pleasant surprise was given FRED NEWSOME last Saturday evening by twenty of his young friends in honor of his twenty-first birthday. About half past ten, refreshments were served which consisted of pie, cake and oranges. The evening was spent in playing games and music. The guests departed at a late hour wishing him many more happy birthdays.

MRS. HEPSIE GARLAND of Derby spent Sunday with MR. and MRS. ARTHUR PEARCY.

ANNA and NELLIE PARKIN visited Sunday with ELVESSA NEWSOME.

MRS. RAY BARGER spent Monday with MR. and MRS. JOHN BARGER of Goshen.

MR. and MRS. AL WALLACE of Smyrna, visited Sunday with MRS. NELLIE VICE of Derby.

MR. and MRS. WRIGHT NEWSOME visited friends and relatives in Chariton Saturday.

MRS. MATILDA BEVARD visited Sunday with PAT BEVARD and wife.
