Last Saturday the citizens of Otter Creek Township, in this county, and Liberty Center Township, in Warren County, voted by small majorities to take a five per cent stock in the Railroad from here to Indianola. The election was warm and exciting, and a large vote was polled. This is another triumph of good sense over ignorance and we trust will go a long way toward securing the desired object. No people in southern Iowa need a railroad worse than do the citizens of those localities. They have a rich agricultural section, and are too far from market to enjoy its benefits. Now let Indianola do her part and the people of Lucas County take what stock they can afford, and ere long the road will be a certainty.
