A.N. WRIGHT, the jeweler on the North side, has a clock arranged to sound the alarm and awaken old Rip Van Winkle himself, and in addition to this, will strike a light at the same time, so that a sleepy man can get up in the dark wihtout stumbling over two or three arm chairs and a cradle. All that is lacking to make it the most complete and perfect invention of the age, is some kind of an aparatus to hustle a fellow's wife out of bed to start the fire in the cook stove. WRIGHT thinks that such an improvement will be made before long.
