Page 1Paul Wagenbaugh, aged 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wagenbaugh, of Oakville, was killed there Friday evening when he fell from a tree while hunting. The accident occurred about 8:30 o'clock. Wagenbaugh with several companions, started coon hunting after their evening work was finished. The boy climbed a tree and when about twenty feet from the ground lost his hold and fell. His companions picked him up and carried him to his home where physicians were summoned to attend the youth. Wagenbaugh was unconscious and efforts to save his life failed. He died about midnight.
The Wagenbaugh family is prominent in the affairs of the Amish settlement where they have lived for many years. Paul was a member of the Amish church, from which the funeral was held Sunday afternoon. Besides his parents,he is survived by two sisters and two brothers, residing in the vicinity of Oakville.
