Mrs. C. E. Cummings succumbed to an operation at St. Francis hospital in Burlington last Saturday. Ethel Humphrey was born January 8, 1878, at Hopewell, Kansas. On May 26, 1900, she was united in marriage with C. Everett Cummings at Superior, Nebraska. The couple moved on a farm near here the first of the following month, and since that time she has resided near here continuously. Besides the husband deceased is survived by a son, Glenn and a little daughter, Frances, her father, two sisters and two brothers. She was an active worker in the United Presbyterian church in Morning Sun.
