Funeral services over the remains of Lemuel Johnston, a well known Louisa county resident, were conducted from the Fredonia church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment made in Indian Creek cemetery. Mr. Johnston made his home for many years in Fredonia and Concord township, but for the past two years had made his home at Bard with his daughter, Mrs. Eli Lyons, where his death occurred after an illness of seven months. Besides the daughter he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Isaac Harrison and four brothers, John and Ab of Letts, James of Illinois and a brother at Nichols.
