Earl Day, familiarly known as "Mike" Day, passed away Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Charles where he had been employed for the past four years. Death was due to pneumonia the result of influenza. Earl Day was born in Iowa bout twenty two years ago and had spent most of his life in this county. He was the son of Isaac and Laura (Adye) Day, the father, three brothers and one sister preceding him in death, Reuben dying just last week of the same malady. Deceased is survived by his mother, Mrs. Laura Odle and three sisters, Lillian of Columbus Junction, Ruth and Iona of Des Monies. The body was interred Tuesday afternoon in the Indian Creek cemetery with a brief service at the grave.
