Page 1W. C. Pogemiller, a well known farmer living one mile west of town was almost instantly killed at his home Tuesday afternoon about 3:30 o'clock while unloading hay. The pulley which held the hay fork came down and the fork struck him in the back, penetrating the muscles, ribs and left lung. When the fork struck home he turned to the men and said, "I am a dead men." Then jumped from the wagon, walked two or three rods and fell to the ground dead. Mr. Pogemiller was about 45 years old and leaves a wife and two sons, Raymond and Albert.
