Orlena, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gardner, residing near Morning Sun, died Tuesday afternoon, June 29, at 2:30, after a three weeks illness with whooping cough. The little child was born on the farm home April 1, 1917, being past two months of age at the time of her death. Besides the parents, three sisters and one brother are left to mourn. Funeral services were held from the home and the remains were brought to Wapello for interment in the Wapello cemetery.
