Despondent because of ill health, Charles Vance, the 22 year old son of Owen Vance and wife, of Muscatine, committed suicide at Columbus Junction Monday evening. The lifeless body was discovered across a truck near the Rock Island depot at Columbus Junction and an empty vial labeled carbolic acid, which was found nearby, told the manner of his death.
