Darrel Loy Willey
COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Darrel Loy Willey, 58, Rt. 3, Columbus Junction, died suddenly at his home Monday evening, June 18.
He was born Jan. 20, 1926, in rural Columbus Junction, to Carl and Bertha Heitmeier Willey. He married L. Jean Billings Nov. 13, 1949, Columbus Junction.
He was a World War II Air Force veteran. He had been a farmer in the area and a seed corn dealer for Super Cross and Gutwein feed companies. He was a member of the Columbus City Lodge 107, the Davenport Consistory and the Kaaba Shrine.
Surviving: his wife, Jean; and one sister, Wanda Stirling, Columbus Junction.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Stacy - Lewis Chapel, Columbus Junction, the Rev. Denley Ganfield; Columbus City Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Heart Fund. Masonic rites will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
