After a protracted illness with cancer of the stomach, Frank Grasham, a highly respected and long time resident of Wapello, passed away shortly before 2 o'clock Sunday, Dec. 17th. The deceased was a quiet, unpretentious man, with many warm, personal friends who admired him for his honesty and industry. He was a splendid mechanic and his services were always in good demand. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and a prominent worker in it. His high standing among his lodge brothers was attested by the large number that turned out to honor him at his last rites.

Mr. Grasham was born March 7th, 1860, near Cairo, Iowa, making his age at the time of his death 62 years, 9 months, and 10 days. He was united in marriage January 20th, 1885, to Etta Virginia Bromley. To this union were born two sons: Farmer, who died at the age of six years, and Lee George, who has been residing in late years at Monroe, Louisiana. Besides the widow and son, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna Hubbard of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, a brother George of Wapello and a half-brother, John of Muscatine.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First M. E. church, conducted by the Rev. O. E. McBride, with interment in the Wapello cemetery. Services at the grave were in charge of the Odd Fellows.
