Mrs. Charles Johnson, who has been ill for some time with dropsy passed away Sunday morning shortly after the midnight hour, at the home of her father, J. C. Price. Mrs. Johnson had been ill for some time and several weeks ago was brought here from her home in Muscatine that she might be cared for by relatives. Ellen Price was born at Morning Sun, August 25, 1881. In October, 1909, she was united in marriage with Charles Johnson and since that time their home has been in Wapello and Muscatine. Besides the husband and father, she leaves an adopted son, one sister, Mrs. Charles Whited of Wapello and four brothers, Charles and Dennis Price of Darrington, Wash.; Houston of St. Paul, Minn., and Harry of Wapello. Funeral services were held from the Christian church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Jesse Huddle and interment made in the Wapello cemetery.
