Little Miss Martha Isabelle Beane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Beane, passed away at the Burlington hospital Tuesday evening about 8 o'clock. She and been sick a few days with appendicitis and Monday night her condition became so serious that Tuesday morning she was taken to the Burlington hospital and operated on. She apparently stood the operation well and in about two hours afterwards talked to one of the nurses. But she suddenly dropped off into her last peaceful sleep about eight o'clock that evening. Martha Isabelle Beane was born in Wapello, Iowa, June 4, 1907 and was aged 6 years and 5 months at the time of her death. She is survived by her father and mother and two brothers. The remains were brought home yesterday morning and the funeral services were held this afternoon from the home at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. W. McBlain. Interment in Wapello cemetery.
