Nellie Alice, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chet Buffington, died at Mason City, Friday, October 10, 1913. Nellie was born October 19, 1912, in the Oakland Neighborhood near Cairo. Last spring her parents moved to Mason city. Death was caused by an illness of several months. The remains were brought to this city Saturday evening and taken to the home of Mrs. Buffington's parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chamberlain in the Spring Run neighborhood, where a short funeral service was held Sunday afternoon after which a service was held at 2:30 at the Spring Run church conducted by Rev. McClelland, interment in the Spring Run cemetery.
