Following an operation for appendicitis last Thursday afternoon, the death of David Morgan of Letts, occurred Thursday morning at 2:30 o'clock. Mr. Morgan was stricken with an attack of appendicitis on Wednesday evening and an operation was resorted to the following day as the one chance of saving his life. He was a young man of exemplary habits and had many friends who will be shocked to hear of his sudden death. He was about 27 years of age and with his sister, Alice and brother, K. B., were running a farm west of Letts. Deceased is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Morgan of Columbus City, Iowa; three brothers, Rob, Art and Arviel at home; and Ira, of Le Grand, Oregon, who was summoned by telegram; and by four sisters, Miss Alice and Miss Phoebe, at home; Mrs. S. T. West of Seattle, Wash.; and Mrs. C. B. Gookin of Monroe City, Missouri.
