Muscatine Journal: Mrs. Claude Le Mar, 24 years of age, succumbed early Sunday morning at her home, 216 Clinton street. The death was caused my pneumonia and the deceased was ill only about a week. Mrs. Millie Forbes Le Mar was born near Columbus Junction, September 29, 1890 and lived in that vicinity until five years ago, when she and her parents moved to Muscatine. She was united in marriage to Claude J. Le Mar, March 5, 1910 and to this union was born one son, Donald LeTarry. She also leaves to mourn her demise besides her husband and parents, Mr. and Mrs. William M. Forbes of 1409 Kansas street, the following sisters and brothers. Mrs. James Baker, of Columbus Junction; Mrs. George Owens, of this city; and Misses Addie, Lydia, Emma, Verna, Nina, Zelma and Frank, William, and Orville at home. The funeral services were held at 11 o'clock at the Swank church, five miles south of Lone Tree, Tuesday morning, the cortege leaving Muscatine at 8:30 o'clock. Burial took place in Swank cemetery.
