Page 1This community was grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Charlotte Otto, widow of the late John Otto, which occurred at her home northwest of the city at 9 o'clock Tuesday evening. She had arrived that morning from Ankeny, Iowa, where she had gone three weeks previous to attend the funeral of Mrs. Wagner, a sister of her late husband. Her condition was serious from the start and her children were summoned to her bedside. When she realized that the end was approaching she requested that she be brought to her home that she might die there. The requested was granted and she passed peacefully away.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 p. m. from the home and at 2:30 at the Cross Roads Chapel, which was erected largely by the efforts of her late husband. Interment in the Wapello cemetery.
