Amanda Mae Hyerstay, daughter of Ernest Winter of this place, was born in Wapello, Iowa, March 19, 1863, and died July 19, 1910, in Denver, Colo. Deceased attended the German M. E. church of which she was still a member. She and her brother went to Frontier county, Nebraska, in 1885, and lived there until 1890, at which time she and her sister located at Denver, Colo. She was married to Abraham Hyerstay July 1, 1908. she leaves to mourn her death her husband and parents, of this place; her sister, Mrs. G. A. Andress, of Denver; brother, Norman, of Des Moines; sister, Vinnie and brother, Edward, of this place. The remains were brought to Wapello and the funeral services were held at the German M. E. church last Saturday, conducted by Rev. F. J. Sternberg, with interment in the Wapello cemetery.
